It’s not uncommon for the original PS2 game console to overheat over time.
To check if your PlayStation fan is broken, simply look at the back of the console to see if the fan is spinning. If it isn’t, it may be time for a fan replacement.
Another common issue is power on failure. This could be from the power brick in the case of a PS2 slim or faulty connections on the mainboard.
The YLoD or Yellow Light of Death requires board level repair and is mostly on the older original phat models and some of the early slim models.
The usual cause is due to the capacitors degradation due to age, this in turn does not provide sufficient power to the CPU / GPU.
A replacement of the Capacitors is required.
The most common fault on a PS4 is damaged or malfuctioning HDMI ports. This requires in most cases a simple port replacement.
"Blue Line of Death", if your console has pulsing blue light, you might have software or hardware issues. This is normally relates to faulty HDMI, Hard Drive or Power Supply.
